bright florals are gorgeous and i love them on other people, but usually they just aren’t for me. moody florals are another story, and i flipped when i saw this scarf. it’s a great way to add a little something to my outfits. i tied it two different ways around my neck, as you can see in the last two pictures. which way do you like better?

my secret to wearing 4.5″ heeled shoes as often as i can are some ultra thick and plush dr. scholls socks with purple grips on the bottom – you can find them at retailers everywhere. they make all of my high heeled boots super comfortable, and this is especially so with these steve madden booties, as it makes them not slip.

Could you imagine a season without denim? I think it’s impossible. Sometimes there’s more and sometimes less denim, but it is (and will be probably) always there in some way though. Coming to this port’s topic SS 2010 seems to be one of the seasons with an overrun of denim. After jeans chemises and jackets paired primarly with black, the designers envision a real overdose of the blue fabric: Jeans jumpers, dresses, jackets, shorts, chemises, pants, accesory…. – and all that as possible together in one outfit.

I’m not very keen on this combination since I wouldn’t call myself the biggest denim fan. Apart from some exceptions I don’t like this all-over look and still prefer my jeans with white and black.

despite all of our longing for spring and warmth, burberry prorsum proves to me why autumn and the february shows are still my absolute favorites.

outerwear of every shape and size strutted down the runway at burberry. i love how christopher bailey played with proportions and textures, had feminine and masculine influences, and that all of the jackets/coats in line were not only incredibly beautiful and stylish, but practical for the arctic weather indiana always has to deal with (and is still dealing with).

one thing is for sure, shearling will be huge this fall – look, it’s even lining shoes!

you’ve probably all seen H&M’s huge denim/blue campaign by now, and we are encouraged to wear those to work in support of it. i was stoked to play with all of the denim already in my closet and as a result put together this look – my version of the texas tuxedo, haha. i already love it. picture me with my frye 8R harness boots too.

what do you guys think – it’s already been seen everywhere from alexa chung to lookbook.nu, but does denim on denim tickle your fancy?

oh and big shout out to rachel p., my first reader who’s recognized me in public (on a hectic day at work no less)!

putting my employee discount to good use and buying up all kinds of warm-weather gear in preparation for spring.

the top has these huge bell sleeves and it’s long length makes it great as a beach cover-up (i have it folded in half here); i love the high waist on the shorts; the swimsuit is perfect to mix and match with my old black bikini; and the bag is very wang-esque with its soft matte (faux) leather and all of the zipper details.

i’m still on the lookout for the ideal flat and wedge sandal.

all out girly is not my thing, so for this valentine’s day look, i of course had to add a bit of edge via the suede shorts and booties.

by the way, i scored these shorts on ebay for 5 dollas – holla! haha.
